Leaha

Hello and welcome. Let’s get right into it. Can you introduce yourself and tell us How long you have been playing D&D?

Hi. I’m Leaha and I started playing D&D back when THAC0 was still a thing.

Ahh yes THACO, the reason anyone over 30 can still do complex math in their head. How long have you been running games?

I have been DM’ing off and on for two or three years running short stories for friends. I waited so long because it seems I was lucky to surrounded by overachieving story tellers… and it looked stressful. Turns out it wasn’t quite that crazy and I really get a kick out of the crazy things my players do.

So if you were a D&D character what would you be? What is your favorite?

I’m not sure it’s a favourite but it turns out I seem to harbour a powerful affinity to a halfling rogue pretty much all the time.

What about books and lore? Are there any that stand out to you?

Lord of the Rings, the foundation of nearly all that came after.

Definitely a classic! So you’ve been playing a while, do you have a favorite quote or saying relating to Dungeons and Dragons?

I don’t have a favourite quote but I have been the victim of endless terrible puns.

I think we’ve all been guilty of de-railing a campaign with terrible puns. What about NPC’s or monsters? Any favorites there?

Tiny magical constructs! But in a more non-lethal way. For example in an abandoned wizard tower where they were more little caretakers and have been left to their own devices after something happened to their master and the party stumbles into them. They only turn nasty if they part does something bad.

That is adorable and scary at the same time. Now I’ve asked this question to all the other DM’s so I’m going to throw it out here as well. How many sets of dice do you own?

Unfair question. It’s actually the colour scheme that matters which in my case is green and purple. And they still all fit in one box at the moment.

That’s not too bad…depending on the size of the box I guess. Ok so final question here. Do you have and scenarios or adventures that really stick out over the years? What stories really stick out over the years?

I don’t have any stories per say but I used to have a DM long ago with too much time on his hands, who would, around holidays like Yule and Halloween, would run these one-off sessions in the theme of the relevant holiday. Like ‘Save Santa’s elves from the Evil Sugar Plum Faery!”. They wouldn’t affect our normal sessions but were a lot of fun and super weird.

That sounds like a fun idea for a seasonal one off! Well thank you again for taking time to answer our questions and we look forward to seeing you in a couple weeks at D&D camp!
